Why Work at Salem Metal, Inc.

Martin Monahan

Team Lead Tig Welder
– 24 years –

I started at Salem Metal, Inc. back in 1997 when my dad showed me a help wanted ad in the paper and have not looked back since. I had a few jobs prior to joining SMI, and I can tell you nothing compares to this family run company that’s been around for 50 years and going strong! The work you get to weld is good and ranges from Medical devices to defense. Over my years here I’ve had an opportunity to not only grow professionally, but I got to see this company evolve as well.  SMI is my home away from home.

Franklin Espinosa

Senior Year Co-op Student

I joined Salem Metal’s team as my first co-op during my junior year at Greater Lawrence Technical High School. I am now a senior about to graduate. Salem Metal is a group of hard working people that unite together to create and design beautiful and useful parts that are used around the world. Employees in this company are helpful from the day you start. They show sympathy and understand your personal and work life. Salem Metal, Inc. has a great tradition and track record of being for the people, and I can say that from experience. It is a great job for anyone.

Robert Murphy
